---- — Jake Powell, who wrestles at the 126-pound weight class, was named Wrestler of the Year for the Northeastern Conference, which released its annual all-star team.
Mark Thomas, who guided Beverly High to its sixth straight conference championship, was named NEC Coach of the Year. Peabody High garnered the Team Sportsmanship Award.
Beverly placed seven wrestlers on the all-star squad, followed locally by Danvers with five, Salem and Marblehead/Swampscott with two each, and Peabody and Saugus with one apiece.
The NEC wrestling all-stars, by weight class, were as follows:

120 lbs.: Tamid Raji, Salem
126 lbs.: Jake Powell, Marblehead/Swampscott and Dan Papagelis, Danvers
132 lbs.: Joe Kozlowski, Beverly
138 lbs.: Chris Behen, Danvers
145 lbs.: Seth Roy, Saugus
152 lbs.: Luke McDonald, Beverly
160 lbs.: Tom Wilbur, Beverly
170 lbs.: Brendan McGee, Beverly and Sal Sherzi, Peabody
182 lbs.: Peter Reusch, Beverly and Bobby Ingersol, Danvers
195 lbs.: Brian Tripoli, Beverly
220 lbs.: Brian Perry, Beverly
