---- — BEVERLY — Don’t be surprised if you look up and see World War II airplanes buzzing over the city this weekend.

Three vintage bomber and fighter planes are coming to Beverly Municipal Airport as part of the Wings of Freedom Tour.

The restored airplanes — a B-17 Flying Fortress, a B-24 Liberator and a P-51 Mustang — will be available to tour today from 2 to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Walk-through tours cost $12 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under. You can also take a 30-minute flight on the bombers for $425. Flight training on the P-51 is available for $2200 for a half-hour and $3200 for a full hour.

Proceeds benefit The Collings Foundation, a nonprofit that runs the Wings of Freedom Tour.

In conjunction with the tour, the North Shore Old Car Club will hold its Wings & Wheels Classic Car Show on Sunday starting at 9 a.m. General admission is $5, with children under 12 admitted free.
