---- — Both C-MAX Hybrid and C-MAX Energi have an advanced powertrain which includes a 2.0L I-4 Atkinson-cycle gasoline engine with an electric motor to generate 188 total system horsepower, delivering the responsive power you want when you need it. The C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrid model has the best combined MPGe in its class, with an EPA-estimated 108 city/92 hwy/100 combined MPGe.

Drivers can unlock and start their C-MAX without ever having to take out their keys. When the key fob is in a pocket or anywhere on the driver, she can simply press her thumb on the door handle to open the door. Once you’re in, hold down the clutch (or the brake pedal on an automatic), press the power button and go. This convenient feature is standard on the C-MAX SEL Hybrid and C-MAX Energi.

The dual-LCD next-generation SmartGauge® with EcoGuide is an innovative cluster that provides real-time information to help you get the most efficiency from your C-MAX Hybrid or C-MAX Energi. The next- gen SmartGauge with EcoGuide features a “MyView” screen so drivers can customize the screens to their liking. Efficiency Coach screens such as Brake Coach help you maximize your vehicle’s efficiency. Screens include Inform, Enlighten, Engage or Empower, and explain your options within each. Five-way steering wheel-mounted controls make it all easy. The gauge can indicate instant fuel economy, fuel economy history, odometer, engine coolant temperature, plus trip data including fuel economy, time-elapsed fuel economy and miles to empty. Watch the display grow leaves when you drive efficiently. Or watch them fade when you don’t. This green motivator works in any of the four display modes. You may also access your MyFord Touch® screens using the next-generation SmartGauge.

A 240-volt home charging station is available for purchase with or without installation services from AeroVironment.™ If you decide to have the unit installed, an AeroVironment-affiliated electrician will perform an electrical audit and then install the 240-volt charging station. The electrician will handle everything, including securing the required permits. If you like, you can have a preferred electrician install the AeroVironment charging station or one offered by Leviton.® Both are branded by Ford Motor Company, and each unit can be hardwired or plugged into a 240-volt outlet for nonpermanent installation, easy removal or replacement.
