In the wake of an accident where a bicyclist was hit by a car on Washington Street at Sewall Street, Jody Richardson, 48, was taken to Salem Hospital, according to the log at 3:27 p.m.
Anthony R. Ventresca, 23, of 1735 Northshore Road, Revere, was arrested at 4:18 p.m. on Manomet Road on a charge of domestic assault and disorderly conduct. A caller earlier told police “he wants his adult son removed from the residence, he is being verbally abusive toward the family and destructive to the furniture,” as cited in the log.
Cigarette butts flicked over a fence drew a complaint on Buxton Street at 5:48 p.m. An officer had a talk with the offending neighbor, who promised “she will sweep them up,” according to the log.
A kid on Whipple Road was feeling bad enough to call police at 6:14 p.m. Atlantic Ambulance gave him a look, but he was sent home. Police determined he had “smoked marijuana ... on Lowell Street with some other kids and got paranoid and had an adverse reaction to it,” according to the log.
A 65-year-old Peabody man will be summonsed for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon following a disturbance outside of T & L Liquors, as logged at 6:54 p.m.
After letting her son’s friend in the home, a woman on Wheatland Street told police at 8:07 p.m. she discovered her television was gone.
An accident on Lowell Street at 12:25 a.m. resulted in one driver, a 19-year-old from Peabody, being summonsed for driving with a suspended license and another driver, a 44-year-old from Peabody, being summonsed for driving without a license and failing to yield.
An injured swan near the Hannaford Plaza required some research for police, with no animal control officer on duty in Peabody, Salem or Beverly; no one at MassWildlife; and a holiday for the Environmental Police. “Able to refer to Danvers Animal Hospital as a wildlife rehab center,” according to the log at 11:13 a.m. An officer brought the swan there.
