Downed telephone poles shut down section of Route 114 in Peabody

PEABODY — Heavy winds have taken down telephone poles near the Outback Steakhouse in Peabody, causing a section of Route 114 to be shut down between Walter Road and MacArthur Boulevard.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area.

Utility crews are reportedly on the scene. Check back for more information as it becomes available.
