Police respond to non-suspicious shooting

MARBLEHEAD — Police continue to investigate a fatal shooting reported in Marblehead last night, but they are not considering it suspicious.

Marblehead police Chief Robert Picariello said in an email last night that the shooting “appears to be self-inflicted.”

Several neighbors gathered outside the home last night while police remained inside the home.

The incident remains under investigation, Picariello said.
