Police received a 1:53 p.m. report from the Danvers Animal Hospital that an injured swan had recuperated and was ready to be transported back to Crystal Lake. “The swan is back in the lake,” wrote police.
The Fire Department received a 7:45 p.m. report that a youth had suffered a leg injury during a football game at Bishop Fenwick High School. The youth was transported to a local hospital.
A motorist reported at 6:38 p.m. that somebody had egged his vehicle as he drove by the Greenlawn Cemetery. “A search of the cemetery was performed without finding anyone inside,” wrote police.
Police received a 7:33 p.m. report that a woman walking her dog along Lafayette Street near the Marblehead line had found a beige container with a ferret inside. The animal was turned over to the animal control officer in Marblehead.
A pizza delivery person was robbed of cash at knifepoint night near Salem State University, according to Sgt. Andrew Dacy. The Domino’s driver was in the area of Bowditch Hall, at 71 Loring Ave., when a “skinny” white man with a full beard, described as being about 5-foot-5, approached him and showed a silver knife. The man made off with $40 in cash. Police received the call at 10:59 p.m.
Eleven chairs inside Leslie’s Retreat Dog Park were damaged overnight, according to an 8:19 a.m. report. An officer determined that the chairs, which were valued at $25 each, had been slashed across the seat area.
Police and the Fire Department responded to an 8:57 a.m. report of a fire in a cabinet at 26 Shillaber St. The fire, which was apparently ignited by a candle, had been extinguished by the time police arrived.
Police received a 5:32 p.m. report of shoplifting at Walmart. Sharon Koutsianoulis, 49, of 192 Washington St., Dover, N.H., on a charge of shoplifting over $100.
A wallet was reported stolen from a motor vehicle at BJ’s Wholesale Club at 10:29 a.m.
