Monday

An Allens Lane woman reported at 5:27 p.m. that her son had been attacked by five other students on a school bus on March 14.

Police received a 6:36 p.m. report from a Carpenter Street man who said his neighbor’s motion-sensor device was making his dog bark.

Two loud explosions were reported in the area of 2 Mansfield St. at 8:43 p.m., but police were unable to locate anything suspicious in the area.

Tuesday

A rock was thrown through a window at 5 Cobb Ave. over the weekend, according to a 7:29 a.m. report.

A Buttonwood Lane man reported at 10:15 a.m. that his neighbors would “flaunt” their dogs at him “by walking them by his house unleashed.” An officer determined that it was part of an ongoing dispute and advised the man to call when the incident was actually happening.

An employee at a business at 2 Centennial Drive reported at 1:26 p.m. that $14,000 in inventory had been stolen between March 11 and 25. Police were unable to provide additional information.

Swampscott

Monday

Police conducted a traffic stop at 289 Humphrey St. at 4:39 p.m. and arrested Joel Lopez, 28, of 37 Trinity Ave., Lynn, on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and disguise to obstruct justice. He was also wanted on warrants with charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a vehicle lights violation, according to the log.

Charles McCarthy, 48, of 181 Topsfield Road, Boxford, was arrested on charges of drunken driving, third offense, and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license after police conducted a traffic stop at 10:24 p.m. at Atlantic Avenue and Preston Court.

Several people left Red Rock Bistro at 141 Humphrey St. without paying a $103.79 tab, according to a 10:26 p.m. report. The bill was later paid by phone.

Monday

Police conducted a well-being check on a Farrell Court woman at 5:26 p.m. and determined that she was fine and watching the movie “Gone With the Wind.” Police wrote: “No other problems found.”
