---- — BEVERLY — More than 400 walkers are expected to take part in the 34th annual Good Friday Walk tomorrow.
The walk was founded by the late Ray Battistelli in 1980 and is the oldest charity walk on the North Shore. Money raised by walkers goes to needy North Shore families to help with rent and utility bills.
The 10.5-mile walk will start between 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist School at 552 Cabot St. It will proceed to the Church in the Cove and St. John’s Episcopal Church in Beverly Farms and then back along the same route to St. John the Evangelist School.
Lunch for all walkers will be served at St. John’s Episcopal Church in the cafeteria.
Donations can be made online at www.goodfridaywalk.org or sent to Good Friday Walk, P.O. Box 646, Beverly, MA, 01915.
