Tonight, there is a panel discussion on the potential impact of President Obama's stimulus package on the North Shore. It begins at 5:30 at the Enterprise Center, 121 Loring Ave., on the central campus.

Panelists include Brian Cranney, president of the Cranney Companies; Kim Meader, executive vice president at Salem Five bank; Christine Sullivan, executive director of the Enterprise Center at Salem State; and Mary Sarris, executive director of the North Shore Workforce Investment Board. The moderator is K. Brewer Doran, dean of the Bertolon School of Business at the college.

On Monday morning, members of the political science and history faculty will discuss new development in Middle East politics. They will talk via the Internet with Joseph Zeira of the department of economics at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. It begins at 11 a.m. in room 346 at Meier Hall.
