On Saturday soldiers gathered at the Salem Commons to celebrate the anniversary of the first Salem Muster on the Commons in 1637.
Firefighters are battling a two-alarm mulch fire off of Farm Avenue in Peabody, the smoke from which has forced the closure of several ramps near the busy area where I-95, I-128 and Route 1 intersect.
State Police have identified the victim of last night’s car crash on Route 128 in Danvers as Reginaldo Dasilva Souza, a 30-year-old Peabody resident.
