Danvers

Friday

Police responded to the Residence Inn by Marriott at 7 a.m. for a report of a car break-in.

Christine Mendyk, 49, of 139 Rocky Pond Road, Boylston, was arrested at 2:42 p.m. and charged with giving a false name to a police officer following a motor vehicle stop on Liberty Street.

Police responded to David's Bridal on Route 1 at 5:30 p.m. for a report of a car break-in.

Sunday

Marion Halmon, 31, of 326 Forest Creek Drive, Seneca, S.C., was arrested at 2:20 p.m. and charged with shoplifting and giving a false name to a police officer at Walmart.

Police received a report at 8:16 p.m. of a break-in at Days Inn on Endicott Street.

Police received a report at 9:18 p.m. of a car stolen from a High Street gas station.

Monday

Police received a report at 12:17 p.m. of a home being broken into.

Police received a report at 9:30 p.m. of six to seven flat-screen televisions stolen from BJ's Wholesale off Route 128, on Hutchinson Drive. The getaway vehicle was a Ford Explorer but the license plate number came back to another car in Peabody.

Peabody

Friday

A 16-year-old Peabody boy was arrested at 8:25 p.m. and charged with receiving stolen property following a report of a stolen bike from P.F. Changs.

A 14-year-old and two 13-year-old boys from Peabody were arrested at 9:30 p.m. and charged with trespassing and "tagging," following a report of a group of kids out spray-painting on Sunset Drive.

Michael L. DeMulis, 39, of 66 Denton St., Brockton, was arrested at 10:50 p.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license, following a motor vehicle stop on Route 1.

Saturday

Derek DiStefano, 40, of 8 Upham St., Peabody, was arrested at 12:07 a.m. and charged with trespassing at CVS on Lowell Street.

David J. Conley, 19, of 38 Beaver St., Apt. 2, Salem, was arrested at 2:35 a.m. and charged with trespassing at a Webster Street address. Luis Hernandez, 19, of 9R Collins St., Danvers; Michael Conley, 24, of 38 Beaver St., Salem; Benjamin Turcketta, 24, of 148 Washington St., Peabody; and Jessica Carner, 19, of 35 Elm St., Georgetown, were all summonsed to court on the same charge.

A Birch Street resident reported to police at 8:37 a.m. that she found a cup from Wendy's on her front lawn with six syringes inside.

Stanley V. Gailius Jr., 43, of 15 Westwood St., Burlington, was arrested at 6:50 p.m. and charged with an open container violation, following a motor vehicle stop at the jughandle.

William J. MacDonald, 60, of 32 Conomo Ave., Lynn, was arrested at 5:14 p.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license (second offense), driving with a revoked registration and driving without insurance, following a motor vehicle stop on Route 128.

Fabio Bravim, 24, of 386 Summer St., Lynn, was arrested at 10:55 p.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license, following a motor vehicle stop on Route 114.

Monday

Leandro Nunes Gomes, 23, of 98 Broadway St., Apt. 3, Salem, was arrested at 6 a.m. and charged with allowing an unlicensed person to operate a vehicle following a motor vehicle stop on Washington Street. Police said Gomes also had a warrant out for his arrest.

A 16-year-old from Lynn was arrested at 1:42 p.m. after police found there were five warrants out for his arrest from the trial courts. Police made the arrest after responding to a report of a suspicious person on Fulton Street.

Beverly

Friday

John C. Caruso, 43, of 8233 Crane Brook Way, Peabody, was arrested at 7:37 p.m. and charged with driving while unlicensed, following a report of a domestic dispute inside a Dodge Durango.

Saturday

Kelly M. Whitten, 21, of 6 Heritage Drive, Salem, was arrested at 11:30 p.m. and charged with cocaine and marijuana possession, following a motor vehicle stop on Rantoul Street.

Robert E. Cook III, 27, of 3 Priscilla Road, Beverly, was arrested at 12:03 a.m. and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and malicious destruction of property, following a report of a past assault at a River Street address.

Wenham

Saturday

Antonio M. Chavez, 27, of 48 Burrill Ave., Apt. 2, Lynn, was arrested at 5:16 p.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license and giving a false name to a police officer, following a motor vehicle stop on Hull Street by Sgt. Jeffrey Tobey. After an investigation, with the aid of Patrolman Shane Kavanagh and dispatcher Brian Pratt, police found that Chavez allegedly had seven different names and dates of birth, along with seven warrants out for his arrest. The warrants were out of district courts in Salem, Lynn, Woburn and Malden. Tobey said he believes all the warrants are for the same person.

Salem

Sunday

Youths celebrating at a nearby graduation party on Moulton Avenue decided to go for a walk and throw two soda cans at the roof of a house on Dearborn Street at 5 p.m. and were caught by police a short time later on Franklin Street. Patrolman Fred Dubiel brought the youths back to the Dearborn Street home and had them apologize to the homeowner. The officer also notified the youths' parents.

A bicyclist collided with a car on Washington Street by New Derby Street at 8:50 p.m. after he allegedly cut across Washington Street on the crosswalk without slowing down. Witnesses told police the bicyclist, Chandler Brun, 21, of Salem, ran into the 2009 Chevy sedan. Atlantic Ambulance transported the bicyclist to Salem Hospital for minor head injuries. The Chevy had damage to the front driver's side fender and the windshield.

A man's car broke down and pulled over on the side of Highland Avenue, to wait for AAA. Police were called to the car at 11:05 p.m. after a report of a suspicious car. Police checked the license and found the driver had a default warrant out of Lynn District Court charging failure to pay fines.

Monday

A taxi cab driver called the police at 1 a.m. after the fare didn't have money after a ride from Boston to Salem. The customer said his friends are in Beverly and he'd get the money to pay the cabbie there. Police spoke with the driver and the fare and agreed going to Beverly was the best option.

Police came up behind a Chrysler van with dark, tinted windows, on Webb Street near Fort Avenue at 1 a.m. and the van took off. Police said the van was driving in an "evasive manner." Police stopped the van because it was not from Salem (it was registered out of Lynn), the late time of the night, the fact that there were break-ins in the area recently, and to talk to them about the tinted windows. Police pulled the van over on Memorial Drive. The driver said he and his wife stopped to watch a couple "fornicating on top of the military tank inside Memorial Park." Patrolman Gil Priddy advised the driver the tinted windows were in excess of the legal limit. After letting the driver go, Priddy went to Memorial Park and did not see any "signs of an adventurous couple."

Lynda J. Tully, 49, of 240 Conant St., Danvers, was arrested at 1:20 p.m. and charged with possession of crack cocaine following a report from an off-duty officer who believed he saw a drug transaction take place on North Street.

A bicycle was reported stolen at 1:30 p.m. from a Summer Street address.

Tasha R. Kaba-Cannon, 28, of 3 Harrison Ave., Salem, was arrested at 2:30 p.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery at her residence.

Police received a report at 2:47 p.m. of a scooter stolen from a Turner Street address.

Marblehead

Friday

Jason N. Horton, 25, of 29 Pineview St., Apt. 8, Salem, was arrested at 12:53 p.m. and charged with larceny (more than $250) and receiving stolen property (less than $250) following a report of a bicycle stolen from Bessom Street.

Saturday

Nicholas J. Ily, 30, of 75 Essex St., Swampscott, was arrested at 5:57 p.m. and charged with drunken driving (second offense) and reckless driving, following a report of a car into a tree on Ware Lane.
