Day at Kernwood Country Club sign-up Saturday

SALEM — The sign-up for the ninth annual City of Salem Day at Kernwood Country Club will be held Saturday beginning at 7 a.m. at the Park and Recreation office at 5 Broad St.

There are openings for 288 golfers at a charge of $50 per player. The tournament is open to Salem residents, city employees and retired municipal workers. A driver's license is required as proof of residency.

All of the proceeds go into a scholarship fund for high school students from Salem going on to college. Checks should be made out to the Kernwood Day Scholarship Fund.

Salem Day at Kernwood is Monday, Sept. 14. There will be two flights of golfers, one at 8 a.m. and another teeing off at 1:30 p.m. Golfers can sign up in foursomes.

The entry fee includes a golf cart and lunch.

There is no rain date and no refunds.
