PEABODY — Bishop Fenwick's anniversary book is hot off the presses.
"The First Fifty Years" written by Gary Larrabee chronicles the Boston Archdiocese's largest coeducational high school from start to present. The book puts the Bishop Fenwick in context with its times.
"To read — a newly published history-to-date of Bishop Fenwick High School — is like opening a time capsule filled with photos and facts that, in one moment, bring a smile, and in another, may jolt the reader with a twinge of sadness," Institutional Advancement Director Lauren Fredette said in a press release.
The softcover book includes photographs and interviews with faculty and alumni. It also lists all the religious men and women who served the school.
"It is sure to become a treasured archival item for all who have been associated with Fenwick, the archdiocese and the history of Catholic education," Fredette said.
Limited copies are available for purchase at $40. To obtain a book, call Fenwick's Office of Advancement at 978-587-8322 or select the alumni tab on Fenwick's Web site at www.fenwick.org.
