Police received a report at 6:10 p.m. of a Honda in a handicapped parking spot on Endicott Street.

A man reported to police at 6:15 p.m. that he's receiving sexually explicit text messages from a woman and he'd like her to stop. Police called the woman and told her to stop. The woman said they were friends from high school.

A 53-year-old Salem man was struck by a 2000 Honda sedan at 7:35 p.m. while crossing near 116 Lafayette St. Police said the pedestrian had a broken arm and was taken to Salem Hospital.

Monday

Larry J. Baccari Jr., 44, of 18 Pleasant St., Salem, was arrested at 12:57 a.m. and charged with drunken driving (second offense), disorderly conduct and a marked lanes violation, following a motor vehicle stop on Webb Street. Police said when the van Baccari was driving stopped, he got out and walked toward the cruiser with his hands in the air. Officer Kathleen Costa told Baccari to get back in his van, and he refused. Police said Baccari got on his cell phone and started talking to someone. Police confiscated Baccari's license and destroyed it. At his arraignment, Baccari told Judge Richard Mori that he had jury duty today at Newburyport District Court and asked Mori what he was supposed to do now. Mori replied: "Take the train."

Police received a report at 9:11 a.m. of a break-in involving a truck on Canal Street that occurred sometime between Feb. 2 and yesterday. A radio worth $200 and assorted tools were stolen.

Police received a report at 11:07 a.m. of two slashed tires on a car parked at 1000 Loring Ave.

Police received a report at 12:55 p.m. of a suspicious person coming into Kwik Shop on Jefferson Avenue recently and asking for money. Police issued a no-trespass order, and he was sent on his way.

Lincoln Hotel staff on Lafayette Street reported an undesirable person at 1:50 p.m. and wanted him off the property. Police attempted to issue a no-trespass order, but he refused to accept it.

Peabody

Sunday

Police received a report at 6:14 p.m. of a pickup truck left unattended on Walnut Street. Police found the owner who said the truck broke down and a tow truck company was en route.

Police received a report at 11 p.m. of an attempted break-in at a Sutton Street address. The front porch door was kicked, but no one was able to get inside.

Alicia E. Baldi, 27, of 286 Newbury St., Apt. 22, Peabody, was arrested at 11:14 p.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, following a report of a domestic disturbance.

Diego M. Sanchez, 23, of 179 Putnam St., Apt. 2, East Boston, was arrested at 11:52 p.m. and charged with violating a restraining order at an apartment at 76 Tremont St.

Monday

Matthew M. Carlan, 33, of 14 Holten St., Apt. 2, Peabody, was arrested at 1:14 a.m. and charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct, following a report of a fight at the intersection of Caller and Walnut streets.

Marcelo DeOliveira, 39, of 20 North Central St., Peabody, was arrested at 1:44 a.m. and charged with drunken driving and a marked lanes violation, following a motor vehicle stop on Webster Street.

Police received a report at 11:10 a.m. of a stolen Bobcat excavator from Hampton Inn on Route 1.

Police received a report at 11:40 a.m. of a purse stolen at Stop & Shop on Howley Street. The report did not say if the purse was stolen inside the store or in the parking lot.

Police received a report at 11:46 a.m. of a Dumpster fire near the CVS on Lynnfield Street.

Police received a report at 3:11 p.m. of a hypodermic needle on Howley Street, across the street from Stop & Shop.

Danvers

Sunday

Police received a report at 6 p.m. of a break-in at an Abington Road residence.

James Militello, 25, of 29 East Main St., Gloucester, was arrested at 6:16 p.m. and charged with shoplifting at Walmart.

Monday

Joseph Campbell, 31, of 69 Elm St., Danvers, was arrested at 2:35 a.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery outside the Bank of America on Elm Street.

Police took a report of a fight at 7:40 a.m. at Danvers High School.

Ipswich

Saturday

Casey M. Austin, 22, of 26 Green St., Ipswich, was arrested at 12:44 a.m. and charged with drunken driving (second offense), driving with a suspended license, failure to stop for police and a stop sign violation, following a motor vehicle stop on Wood Lane and Turkey Shore Road.

Kenneth P. Murray, 46, of 14 Hillside Drive, Ipswich, was arrested at 9:43 p.m. and charged with drunken driving (second offense), resisting arrest, and two counts of assault and battery on a police officer, following a motor vehicle stop on Jeffreys Neck Road.

Beverly

Friday

Police received a report at 11 p.m. of a car driving around near Hale Street with loud kids inside.

Saturday

Police received a report of a fight at 1 a.m. at One Stop Market on Cabot Street. The combatants left before police arrived.

Police received a report at 12:17 p.m. of vandalism to a car parked on Boyles Street. Police said a beer bottle was thrown through the car's rear window.

Evan S. Marks, 20, of 123 Water St., Beverly; Andrew Noya, 22, of 3 Judith Road, Peabody; and Christopher D. Taatjes, 21, of 7 Old Stonewall Ave., Danvers, were arrested at 2:28 p.m. and charged with one count each of drug possession (OxyContin). Marks was also charged with driving with a suspended license and failure to signal, following a motor vehicle stop on Grover Street and Middlebury Lane. Detective Sgt. Michael Cassola and Detective Tom Nolan made the arrest.

Antonio Lopez, 31, of 86 Timson St., Lynn, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. and charged with drunken driving (second offense), negligent driving, driving while unlicensed and an open container violation, following a motor vehicle crash on Cabot Street by School Street. Police said the red pickup truck Lopez was driving struck another car. Police also charged the passenger, Luciano L. Chavez, 38, of the same address, with an open container violation.

Police received a report at 8:35 p.m. of a break-in at a Fillmore Street address. Police said the door was kicked in.

Police received a report at 10:35 p.m. of a break-in at a Brimbal Avenue home near Essex Street.

Paul A. Tacelli, 45, of 490 Rantoul St., Beverly, was arrested at 10:45 p.m. and charged with violating the city's knife ordinance, carrying a dangerous weapon and drug possession on Colon Street by Fielder Road.

Sunday

Philip D. Renard, 22, of 98 Bridge St., Salem, was arrested at 5:20 a.m. and charged with assault and malicious destruction of property, following a report of an unwanted guest on Jordan Street.

Residents on Folger Avenue asked police at 11:23 a.m. to check on the people in a tent in the woods. Police checked the tent, and no one was inside.
