BEVERLY — Lt. Gov. Tim Murray and other state officials are scheduled to visit City Hall on Thursday as part of Murray's "listening tour" of cities and towns.
Murray and members of the state's municipal cabinet will answer questions from the public and from city officials about a variety of subjects, including the proposed state budget, technology, health insurance and green community initiatives, according to Mayor Bill Scanlon's office.
The meeting is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to noon in the City Council chamber at City Hall.
Murray is chairman of the municipal cabinet, which consists of six state agency heads. According to the governor's office, the cabinet seeks to coordinate ways in which state government can provide additional services and assistance to cities and towns.
Murray is chairman of the cabinet, and all of its meetings are open to the public.
