Beverly

Monday

Kevin P. Wolf, 49, of 98 Bisson St., Beverly, was arrested at 12:48 a.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery, following a report of a domestic disturbance at his residence.

Police received a report at 5:19 p.m. of hypodermic needles on the sidewalk on Winthrop Avenue by Leech Street.

Police responded to McKeown Elementary School on Balch Street at 11 a.m. after teacher Ryan Matuza found a shell casing on the floor of the gymnasium. Police said the casing was old and possibly used on a key chain.

Police received a report at 2 p.m. of a backhoe stolen from Cherry Hill Drive.

Manchester

Saturday

Nezihe Hewson, 21, of Vine Street in Beverly was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated around 5:17 a.m. after getting into an accident on Bridge Street. She was unable to negotiate a corner and hit a fence, which caused the vehicle to roll over and brush a nearby house in the process, police said. At some point, she was thrown from the vehicle, according to police reports. No other cars were involved in the accident. After being arrested, due to her condition, she was taken to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. She was released on Sunday afternoon, according to a Beth Israel spokeswoman.

Monday

Roger P. Vieira, 41, of 35 Matthies St., Beverly, was arrested at 2:50 p.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license, attaching plates and having no inspection sticker, following a motor vehicle stop on Boston Street. He also had a warrant out for his arrest out of Ipswich District Court in Newburyport.

Salem

Monday

Police received a report at 4:11 p.m. of a break-in at a Balcomb Street residence that occurred sometime between noon Thursday and 1:30 p.m. Saturday. A box containing personal items belonging to the resident's deceased brother was stolen. There was no sign of a forced entry.

Gilberto C. Ribeiro, 30, of 101 Rantoul St., Beverly, was arrested at 5:10 p.m. and charged with driving while unlicensed and a marked lanes violation, following a motor vehicle stop on Hawthorne Boulevard.

Police received a report at 5:25 a.m. of a break-in at an apartment on 15 Salem St. that occurred sometime between 6:40 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday. There was no sign of forced entry, but the front door was found open. Jewelry, two cameras and credit cards were stolen.

Police received a report at 6:26 p.m. of a car break-in on Dearborn Street.

An employee of a gas station on Lafayette Street at the intersection of Palmer Street told police at 7:05 p.m. that he was robbed at gunpoint by two men.

Police received a report at 8:06 p.m. of two men wearing black sweatshirts looking into cars on Paradise Road. Salem police, along with Marblehead police searched for the men, but no one was found.

Tuesday

Police received a report at 10:43 a.m. of a break-in at a Colonial Terrace apartment. The tenant told police the door was still locked when she arrived home in the morning, but someone had rifled through her drawers in the living room and bedroom and stole jewelry, cash, CDs and sunglasses.

Police received a report at 4 p.m. of a car struck with orange paintballs on Mason Street.

Monday

Francisco Pojoy, 18, of 38 Smith St., Apt. 3, Lynn, was arrested at 3:06 p.m. and charged with driving while unlicensed and driving an unregistered vehicle, following a motor vehicle stop on Route 114.

Police received a report at 9 p.m. of a break-in at an Aborn Street address. The homeowner said a 50-inch flat-screen television valued at $2,000, a 40-inch flat-screen television worth $1,100 and a Blu-ray player were stolen. Police said entry was made through a second-floor window.

Marblehead

Christopher Connors, 42, of 4 Story Terrace, Marblehead, was arrested at 10:30 p.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery and witness intimidation, following a report of a domestic disturbance at Market Square.
