Saturday

Nancy Shay, 43, of 112 Greenleaf St., Quincy, was arrested at 4:17 p.m. and charged with larceny more than $250 following a report of a shoplifting at Kohl's.

Salem

Friday

Monique M. Gonyea, 27, of 286 Highland Ave., Salem, was arrested at 8:30 p.m. and charged with shoplifting at CVS at 272 Highland Ave.

Gregory M. Thomas, 23, of 44 Park St., Salem, was arrested at 8:30 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and a red light violation following a motor vehicle stop on Palmer Street.

Saturday

Police reported at 2 a.m. a hazardous material coming from the pumps on Jackson Street. Upon closer inspection, the material looked to be a large amount of oily sludge in the area of a manhole cover near the pumps. Firefighters responded and placed an absorbent material over the sludge. The origin of the spill is under investigation.

Alexis Marrero-Lopez, 34, of 6 Spring St., Peabody, was arrested at 3:40 a.m. and charged with driving with an unregistered vehicle following a motor vehicle stop on Loring Avenue.

Police received a report at 4:38 a.m. from a Boston Street resident who said his cat attacked him while he was sleeping and he wanted the incident documented. Police said the man adopted the cat from Petsmart in Danvers three weeks ago and wants to return it.

Police received a report at 9:45 a.m. of a car stolen from the municipal garage on New Liberty Street.

Police received a report at 1:20 p.m. of a sick rat on Summit Avenue.

Police received a report at 4:53 p.m. of a break-in at an apartment at 12 Butler St.

The manager at Burger King reported at 7:22 p.m. that a customer passed a bogus $100 bill.

Sunday

There was a goose on the loose on Lafayette Street at 12:16 a.m.

Friday

Kevin P. Berry, 46, of 9 Frederick St., Apt. 1, South Boston, was arrested at 5 p.m. and charged with larceny more than $250 and possession of burglary tools following a report of shoplifting at Pottery Barn.

Saturday

Richie Hernandez, 17, of 12 Hourihan St., Apt. 1, Peabody, was arrested at 1:27 a.m. and charged with driving while unlicensed and a lights violation following a motor vehicle stop on Foster Street.

John A. Peckham, 23, of 6 Fairview Road, Apt. 2, Peabody, was arrested at 2:12 a.m. and charged with trespassing.

Timothy Sullivan, 43, of 1000 Pleasant St., Apt. 2, Weymouth, was arrested at 12:10 p.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license and speeding following a motor vehicle stop on Interstate 95 north.

Police received a report at 1:16 p.m. of a car break-in at the Holiday Inn on Route 1.

Hamed A. Olatidoye, 28, of 16 Crowninshield St., Apt. 415, Peabody, was arrested at 2:40 p.m. and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and threatening to commit a crime following an attempt to serve a warrant for drunken driving.
