Emergency supplies available in Peabody on Saturday

PEABODY Free cleaning supplies will be available Saturday in Peabody to assist home and business owners affected by this weeks flooding.

The supplies, including brooms, buckets and gloves, will be distributed at the Torigian Community Life Center, 79 Central St. The Red Cross and Peabodys Emergency Services Department are partnering to host the event, which is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

It is open to everyone on the North Shore, not just Peabody residents and businesses.

Were going to give out as much as we can, said Chris Tighe, Peabodys director of emergency management.
