Christmas lights had been taken off bushes and a light-up reindeer thrown in the street and run over, according to a 9:13 p.m. report from an Overlook Drive resident.
Police received a 1:16 p.m. report that a Bennett Road woman’s light-up reindeer had been smashed and put “on the roof of her car.” Police wrote: “Appears to be an ongoing issue, as lights had been pulled off the reindeer on a couple of occasions before.”
A Lime Street woman reported at 2:03 p.m. that she had heard while she was at work that an au pair intentionally shut her daughter’s hand in a door. An officer spoke to the children and determined that “everything appears OK.”
An Amherst Road caller reported seeing two people steal Christmas decorations and leave in an SUV at 9:45 p.m.
Police received a 6:32 p.m. report that a man had been approached by his ex-wife’s sister at Village Plaza and she made threats about an upcoming court case. “He rolled up his window, refused to engage in the argument and took her picture,” police wrote. “She also was making lewd sexual gestures and comments.” The man reported that he feared his ex-wife “may come in and tell a different story about the events tonight.”
Police responded to a 11:58 a.m. report of a domestic disturbance on Prospect Court and determined that a mother and son were arguing over “preparing food to eat.”
