North Shore part of Catholic church reorganization

The Archdiocese of Boston announced today that parishes in four North Shore communities will be part of the first phase of a major pastoral reorganization plan.

A total of 12 collaboratives, or parish groupings, were announced throughout the Archdiocese, including ones in Beverly (St. Mary, St. Margaret and St. John) and Salem (St. James, St. John the Baptist, Immaculate Conception and St. Anne).

A new pastor will be chosen for each collaborative, which will become fully operational in July.

The first phase also includes collaboratives in Lynn and Lynnfield.
