Elks Hoop Shoot set for Sunday in Beverly

BEVERLY — The Beverly-Salem Elks Club will host the local competition of the Elks National Hoop Shoot free-throw competition on Sunday at the Beverly School for the Deaf.

The competition is free and open to boys and girls ages 8 to 13.

All participants will receive T-shirts. Trophies will be awarded for the top three finishers in each age group, while first-place finishers will be given jackets.

The times for the competitions are 9 a.m. for 12- and 13-year-olds, 11 a.m. for 9- and 10-year-olds, and 1 p.m. for 10- and 11-year-olds. Girls and boys shoot in separate divisions.

The winners in each of the six divisions will advance to the district competition.
