---- — SALEM — A 19-year-old Everett driver was arrested on multiple charges after striking five parked cars in a wild spree early yesterday, according to police.
Jacqueline Portillo, of 36 Highland Ave., Everett, was charged with drunken driving, marked lanes violations and leaving the scene of several property damage accidents during an incident that began around 4 a.m. in Vinnin Square and ended on Canal Street.
Portillo, who was driving a 2004 Nissan Altima, struck a parked car at 505 Loring Ave. then continued for about a mile, crossed a solid double line and hit a 2012 Subaru Impreza parked across from 114 Loring Ave., according to police.
The car then continued for almost another mile, crossed a solid yellow line and struck a third parked car. It went on for a short distance before striking a fourth car on Canal Street, which was shoved into a fifth car.
Portillo was placed under arrest after failing a field sobriety test, police said. She had also injured her forehead but refused medical attention, according to the report.
