A woman at 6 Mulberry Drive reported a stolen motor vehicle at 3:48 p.m. “There was what sounded like a scuffle in the background and then the phone went silent,” police wrote. Then a woman called back and said her 18-year-old grandson was “out of control.” Police determined that it was a verbal dispute over the teenager wanting to drive the family car.

A Lowell Street woman reported at 5:47 p.m. that jewelry had been stolen from her residence between 1 and 5 p.m. “No forced entry,” police wrote.

Two males stole $1,000 worth of sunglasses from Sunglass Hut at the Northshore Mall, according to a 6:10 p.m. report. The incident was caught on a surveillance camera.

Police received a 7:09 p.m. report of a dead cat in the road at 257 Lynn St. The DPW was notified.

An 8 p.m. report of a disturbance at 35 Main St. resulted in the arrest of Peter Dolan, 30, of 6 Paradise Road, Ipswich, on charges of possession of a Class A drug, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

An injured turkey was reported to be in the road at Dooling Circle and Lynnfield Street at 8:41 p.m. An officer reported later that the animal had left the road.


The Fire Department extinguished a truck fire at 32 Elaine Ave. just before 10 a.m. “DPW contacted for sander due to water from extinguishing fire,” police wrote.

An 11:22 a.m. report of a pedestrian accident brought police to 637 Lowell St., where they determined “it is unclear if an accident occurred.” A man refused medical transport.



A 9:39 p.m. report of a vehicle with an open trunk brought an officer to Buffum Street.

Police received a 10:06 p.m. report of an erratic driver on Loring Avenue and subsequently conducted a traffic stop, during which Thomas Angelo, 55, of 73 Altamont St., Haverhill, was arrested on charges of drunken driving and a marked lanes violation.
