Police received a 4:39 p.m. report that kids were throwing ice balls at Kernwood Avenue and Leech Street. An officer was unable to locate them. Police returned to the area after a similar report at 5:36 p.m. but were again unable to locate the youths.

A Park Street woman reported that her son was “flipping out” at 10:01 p.m. Officers spoke to him, and he left the area.


Officers responding to a 1:36 a.m. complaint of a disturbance at 208 Rantoul St. found several women yelling outside a bar. “Sent on their way,” police wrote.

Police responded to a 2:36 a.m. report of a disturbance between a son and his parents at 19 Fairview Ave. and arrested David Colasanti, 23, of the same address, on charges of assault, witness intimidation and using a motor vehicle without authority.

Customized steel plates worth $3,000 were reported stolen from a construction site at 79 Rantoul St. at 1:44 p.m. Officer Dave Costa said in an email that the value of the plates was largely due to the “labor-intensive millwork that must be done to size them.” The theft happened sometime overnight, he said.



Officers in the Special Response Unit conducted a traffic stop on Canal Street at 4:50 p.m. and arrested Stacey Gagnon, 26, of 12 Cedarcrest Ave., Salem, on charges of illegal possession of a Class A substance, illegal possession of a Class B substance, operating an uninsured vehicle, operating an unregistered vehicle and operating a vehicle after license suspension.

Police conducted a traffic stop on Harbor Street at 6:29 p.m. and arrested Eric Hernandez, 20, of 44 Norton St., Lynn, on charges of operating a motor vehicle without being licensed and defective equipment.

An Essex Street woman told police at 6:46 p.m. that she was smoking a cigarette on her front porch when she noticed an unknown man staring at her from a driveway on Turner Street. “This went on for several minutes, until she called her boyfriend outside,” police wrote. Then the man ran off toward Derby Street.

A 7:53 p.m. report of a domestic disturbance brought police to 8 Herbert St., where they arrested Isaiah Ruben Gomez, 25, of the same address, on charges of malicious destruction of property over $250 and assault and battery.

Salem Beer Works was briefly evacuated while the Fire Department investigated the source of a smell of electrical burning, according to an 8:51 p.m. log item. A firefighter said a defective outside light fixture was the cause.


At 3:18 a.m., Salem State University police arrested Donatus Ihebom, 20, of 78 Joppa St. Paxton, on charges of two counts of assault and battery by dangerous weapon and two counts of criminal harassment. Police declined to provide further information about this incident, other than to say it involved a report of threats against female students at Marsh Hall.

An Irving Street man reported at 8:37 a.m. that his credit card had been used to make two fraudulent purchases: one for $50 to a company named Service Virtual Entertainment and one for $194.95 to 1-800-FLOWERS.

An employee of Busa Wine and Spirits at 21 Traders Way reported at 10:35 a.m. that a patron had passed a fake $10 bill the night before.

An officer at 4 Canal St. at 11:39 a.m. arrested Daniel Wright, 21, of 344 Essex St., Salem, on a charge of illegal possession of a Class A substance.

A 12:35 p.m. report of a dispute between a father and son brought police to Butler Street, where Carl E. Fuller, 26, of 68 Butler St. was arrested on charges of domestic assault and battery and intimidation of a witness.



Police responded to a 2:54 p.m. report that a man and woman were arguing in a black Cadillac on Orthopedic Drive and determined that the dispute was over a doctor’s appointment.

A woman flagged down an officer at 3:33 p.m. to report that she’d seen a white man “in dark clothing and handcuffs” running around the area of Denny’s in Danvers. Danvers police were unable to locate anybody matching that description.


Police responded to a 1:08 a.m. report that a BMW had struck a pole at 30 Warren St. and arrested Ergys Qyrasi, 24, of 94 Birch St., Peabody, on a charge of drunken driving

A Garden Road man reported at 7:39 a.m. that his 1999 Dodge Caravan had been stolen overnight.

A Central Street woman reported at 9:03 a.m. that a skunk was living on her property. “She feels it is not behaving appropriately,” police wrote.



Police received a 6:54 a.m. report of a tree down on Andover Street near the Middleton line.

A window at Monro Muffler/Brake was smashed, according to a 9:49 a.m. report.

An officer on Water Street at 11:19 a.m. arrested Charles Passanisi, 46, of 18 Hillcrest Road, Danvers, on a charge of possession of a Class E drug.



Police received a 3:04 p.m. report of a road-rage incident on State Street in which drivers were swearing at each other.

A Smith Street man told police at 8:31 p.m. that his landlord’s wife had entered his residence without his permission and “began to cuss” about her children.


A tree fell on a sidewalk at Roundhouse Road and School Street, causing “excessive” damage to a Ford Explorer, according to a 6:58 a.m. report.
