Police received a 9:30 a.m. report from a Powder House Court woman who said her neighbor had hit her after she left a note on her door about keeping the door closed. “Couple of different stories on how events went down,” wrote an officer. “No one wants to press charges at this time.”
A Susan Road caller reported at 1:21 p.m. that a woman “has backed into some wetlands and is now acting irrational.” Police responded but found no problems.
The Fire Department extinguished an oven fire on Atlantic Avenue after responding to a 4:50 p.m. report.
Police received an 8:47 p.m. report that a man had told a call center he was feeling suicidal. “He stated that he didn’t want to live anymore and then the call dropped,” wrote police. The man was in Lynn and police there went to check on him: “Lynn confirmed he was OK and was just upset he lost all his data on his phone.”
A Garden Road woman reported at 9:26 p.m. that her husband had assaulted her and she was locked out of the house. Police subsequently arrested Richard Michael Leahy, 72, of 5 Garden Road, Marblehead, on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
Police responded to a 3:37 p.m. report of a disturbance at 38 Bow St. and determined two people had a disagreement about “who changes more diapers.”
A motor vehicle that was traveling north on Essex Street crashed into a utility pole in front of 309 Essex St. shortly before 1 a.m. No injuries were reported. The driver of the vehicle was cited for texting while driving.
Police responded to a 3:12 p.m. report of an erratic driver “hitting curbs” on Tremont Street. “Operator is fine,” wrote police later. “Worked a long shift at post office.”
