Storm postpones O'Leary hearing

SALEM — The second day of former fire Lt. John O’Leary’s appeal hearing before the Massachusetts Civil Service Commission in Boston was postponed Monday due to the weekend storm.

O’Leary was fired in August for allegedly misappropriating money from a union charitable fund. He has denied the charges and appealed the firing to the Civil Service Commission.

The hearing will be rescheduled shortly, a spokesman for the state agency said.
