Wednesday

A shopper reported to police at 4:23 p.m. that her bag with two dresses was stolen on Sunday while at the Northshore Mall.

A Beverly man reported to police at 8:35 p.m. that his car was struck while attempting to merge onto Route 1 south from Lowell Street, but the other motorist continued driving and didn't stop.

Police received a report at 10 p.m. of a car stolen from Aborn Street. The car's owner said her ex-husband took the car from her property.

Thursday

Grazyna Waskowska, 60, of 5352 West Roscoe St., Chicago, was arrested at 1 p.m. and charged with larceny (more than $250), assault and battery and possession of burglary tools, following a pursuit of a shoplifter at Northshore Mall. Police found the suspect locked in her car in the mall parking lot.

Wednesday

Police received a report at 3:35 p.m. of kids throwing stuff in a Story Avenue garden.

Police received a report at 4:27 p.m. of a door spray-painted on Story Avenue.

Police received two reports of stolen cars on Cabot Street. The first was reported at 4:45 p.m. in the 100 block and that car was later recovered in Falmouth. The second car was reported at 5:17 p.m. in the 400 block and that car was recovered in Chelsea.

Police received a report at 8:12 p.m. of a tenant destroying his landlord's property on Sturtevant Street.

Thursday

Police received a report at 3:11 a.m. of eggs being thrown at cars in the 200 block on Elliott Street.

Police received a report at 1:55 p.m. of a man exposing himself in a car on Dodge Street.

Salem

Wednesday

A street sign for Witch Way was returned to public works after police told a resident to return it. A police officer noticed the street sign in the window of a residence.

Police received a report at 7:34 p.m. of a break-in at a home on Bradford Street.

Peter A. Anketell, 23, of 87 Mason St., Salem, was arrested at 9:19 p.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery at his residence.

Thursday

Lauren N. Fredericks, 25, of 193 Elm St., North Reading, was arrested at 2:27 a.m. and charged with two counts of violating a restraining order, following a report of an undesirable woman at a Pleasant Street address.

Police responded to Salem Trolley on Central Street at 9:17 a.m. after a report of a break-in. The front door was damaged and items were missing from the business. Salem Historical Tours, which has an entry door that can be accessed from Salem Trolley, was also entered.

Leonel Gonzalez, 17, of 100 Congress St., Salem, was arrested at 11:32 a.m. and charged with trafficking heroin and a drug violation in a school zone on Prince Street.

Sandrio E. Soto, 40, of 56 Palmer St., Salem, was arrested at 2:55 p.m. and charged with drug possession on Congress Street by Leavitt Street.

Shawn D. Bryer, 34, of 266 Washington St., Salem, was arrested at 5:43 p.m. and charged with unlawful possession of prescription drugs on Lafayette Street.
