Pedestrian struck, killed in Ipswich

IPSWICH — A 23 year-old Ipswich man was struck and killed as he was crossing Route 1 last night.

Steven Ewing was crossing Turnpike Road/Route 1 around 6:30 p.m. when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle. He was taken to Beverly Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

As of this morning, no charges have been filed against the driver, according to the Ipswich Police. The accident remains under investigation.
