Clarification

A story on the temporary reduction of parking at the Salem commuter rail station stated that the MBTA received a permit for archaeological work later than expected from the Massachusetts Historical Commission. The archaeologist doing the work at the site applied for a permit, an application the agency said it received on Oct. 24. The permit was issued the next day.
