Monday

A Littles Lane woman reported at 9:37 p.m. that her brother had stolen her vehicle, which was subsequently found by Lynn police on Union Street.

Tuesday

Police contacted the DPW after a 1:26 a.m. report of a water main break in front of 9 Forenza Road.

An Aborn Place woman reported at 9:58 a.m. that jewelry had been stolen from her residence and numerous checks “stolen, forged and cashed.”

Monday

Three officers responded to an 8:50 p.m. report of kids drinking and smoking in a car at 26 Monroe St., but upon arrival they determined that the youths “were just out for a drive and pulled over to hang out.” Police wrote: “There was no evidence of either party drinking, and they were only smoking a cigarette.”

Tuesday

A man reported at 5:02 a.m. that his arm was struck by a passing vehicle as he stepped into the crosswalk at Washington and Norman streets. The man said he wasn’t injured, and police spoke to the driver of the vehicle but didn’t issue any citations.

Police received an 8:47 a.m. report that a motorist was struck from behind while waiting at a red light at Highland Avenue and Swampscott Road. The man in the vehicle that struck him initially “offered to exchange information” but “jumped back in his car and fled” when he was told the police would be involved, according to the log. An officer was unable to locate the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

A 10:35 a.m. report of two men checking car doors near 426 Essex St. resulted in the arrest of Jonathan Lausier, 20, of 7 Glover St., Salem, on a charge of being a minor in possession of alcohol.

Police responded to a 3:17 p.m. report of a domestic dispute at 335 Lafayette St. and determined that two people were arguing “over laundry.”
