Couple rob gas station with knife

PEABODY — Police say a man and a woman showed a knife during the robbery of the Ampet gas station on Lowell Street last night.

The incident occurred around 8 p.m.

The two suspects were described as a woman in a red sweater and a man between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-10, on the heavy side, in a yellow sweater and jeans.

They fled on Endicott Street after the robbery, an officer said.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

Police were reviewing video footage of the incident last night.

No suspects had been arrested as of press time.
