Police forced entry into a unit at 5231 Avalon Drive at 12:54 a.m. after a caller requested a well-being check on his sister and she didn’t answer the door. “Sister was sleeping,” police wrote. “Officer reports the sister checked out fine.”
Police conducted a traffic stop at Lowell Street and Proctor Circle at 1:12 a.m. and arrested Michael Bourgeois, 26, of 8 Pine St., Apt. 2, Peabody, on charges of drunken driving and speeding.
A Krochmal Road woman reported an animal in her trash can at 8:33 a.m. “I advised her to tip the can over and let the animal leave on its own,” an officer wrote.
A woman reported at 9:37 a.m. that there was a large pigeon underneath her father-in-law’s car at 29 Intervale Ave. “I advised her to let it be, or use a broom to move it along,” an officer wrote.
Police received a 9:51 a.m. report of an explosion sound from a caller on Brookbridge Road. Middleton police confirmed receiving similar calls and reported that they could be related to a brush fire in the area. Police checked the area but were unable to determine the source of the sound.
A 34-year-old woman was arrested on three outstanding warrants after a 12:44 p.m. report of a domestic disturbance at 101 Lowell St.
A woman was transported to Beverly Hospital after a 1:16 p.m. report that she had passed out at the cash register and struck her chin at Talbots at the Northshore Mall.
Police received a 1:58 p.m. report that a syringe had been found on the ground near a playground on Dark Lane. An officer removed it.
Police received a 3:17 p.m. report that a man tried to steal $125 in merchandise from Whole Foods Market at 331 Paradise Road.
Police responded to an 8:07 p.m. report of domestic assault at 4 Belgian Road and arrested Carlos Lahr, 33, of the same address, on charges of domestic assault and battery and assault and battery on a person 60 or older or disabled with injury.
