Jingle Bell Walk will bring Santa to Ipswich

By Bethany Bray

---- — IPSWICH — Santa Claus is coming to town Saturday morning for the annual Jingle Bell Walk.

Children are invited to join Santa’s procession through town, which ends with games, music and snacks at Town Hall. The event is organized by the Ipswich High School Interact Club, a division of Rotary.

The walk begins at 11 a.m. downtown, at the intersection of Route 1A and North Main Street. Participants are encouraged to bring bells; jingle bells will also be available for purchase.

At Town Hall, the Interact Club will be holding a Christmas tree raffle to benefit their community service projects. Children can visit with Santa, have their faces painted, play festive games and create holiday crafts. The Rotary Club will serve hot dogs, hot cocoa and other snacks.

Each child will receive a gift bag from Santa.

In the event of rain or heavy snow, the Jingle Bell Walk will meet directly at Town Hall, 25 Green St. Parking is available at Town Hall and Ascension Memorial Church. Attendees are encouraged to bring unwrapped gifts to donate to the Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots.

Activities at Town Hall go through 2 p.m. For more information, see
