A Dodge Road woman reported at 11:22 a.m. that she had received a scam email regarding $500,000.

Police received a 1:56 p.m. report that a Front Street woman had been receiving annoying phone calls for the past six months. “She did not want to see an officer but will come in, as the calls are now coming in the middle of the night and scaring her,” wrote police. An officer determined the calls were being made by a telemarketer.

Beverly

Thursday

A 3:45 p.m. report of an oven fire brought police and the Fire Department to 101 Essex St., where they determined the blaze was already extinguished and had been contained to the oven.

Police and the Fire Department responded to a 6:16 p.m. report of smoke in a house at 38 Roundy St. and determined the condition had been caused by a TV Guide from Sept. 17, 1971, which was found in a heating duct.

Friday

Police dispersed a house party at 11 Lenox St. at 12:15 a.m. and arrested Juan Fortich, 21, of the same address, on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Someone was reported to be pounding on the door of 12 Princeton St. at 5:06 a.m.

Two tires were slashed on a Jeep parked near 50 Broadway, according to a 7:29 a.m. report.

A male in his late teens was transported to Beverly Hospital with minor injuries after his vehicle struck a tree at Essex and Spring streets at about 8:30 p.m.

Thursday

A Flint Street woman reported at 4:37 p.m. that somebody had taken her name off her mailbox three times in recent weeks.

An officer found a “severely” injured seagull near the Salvation Army at 93 North St. after a 5:10 p.m. report. “The seagull expired on scene,” the officer wrote.

A man was yelling at motor vehicles on Mason Street, according to a 10:10 p.m. report, but an officer was unable to locate him.
