---- — SALEM — Police are investigating a home invasion on Monday night in which two assailants with handguns entered a Prince Street apartment and stole $1,000 in cash.

Officers responded to 45 Prince St. after a 10:29 p.m. report of the incident. Lt. Mary Butler said the two robbers — described only as black or Hispanic men, wearing “all dark clothing” — walked into the second-floor apartment, showed dark handguns to the woman who was home and made off with an iPhone, an iPod touch and the cash.

No injuries were reported.

Although the investigation is ongoing, Butler said the woman didn’t appear to know the robbers.

No suspects have been arrested yet.
