Stolen steel was reported from Sabino Farm Road, as logged at 9:01 a.m.

Theft from the Lego store at the Northshore Mall was reported at 3:13 p.m. A $400 kit went missing.

For some people, it’s the season to get arrested for shoplifting. J.C. Penney at the Northshore Mall said they’d handle the incident, which involved two adults, as logged at 5:37 p.m.

A Malden resident at the Northshore Mall was cited for illegal use of a handicapped placard, according to the log at 8:29 p.m.

Three people, two from Gloucester, ages 21 and 22, and one, 21, from Rockport, are to be summonsed for possessing Class A and B drugs, following a traffic stop on Oak Street in the vicinity of the Elks Lodge, according to the log at 11:02 p.m.

Police alerted MassHighway to a sinkhole at the entrance to the Northshore Mall, in the vicinity of The Container Store, as logged at 1:06 p.m.

Somebody on Ropes Street wanted to make a statement by spray-painting a smiley face and a peace sign on car doors. Unhappily, they picked somebody else’s car to do it on, as reported at 6:57 p.m.

A man complained to police at 8:11 p.m. that he was standing in front of Walgreens on New Derby Street when a woman, whom he identified, came up, squirted him with water and told him to stay away from her. He was advised by officers to keep his distance from the woman, whom police could not locate.

Police heard from a man at 8:58 p.m. that a tool worth $120 was stolen from his vehicle while he worked at the Traders Way Home Depot.

A woman told police at 9:41 p.m. that her Planet Fitness locker on Traders Way was not locked when someone stole her wallet, containing credit cards and $10.
