Police received an 11:19 p.m. report of a two men fighting outside of Paddy Kellys. An officer advised them they were not welcome at the bar.
A 1:20 a.m. report of a domestic dispute at 7-Eleven at 79 Lowell St. resulted in the arrest of Steven Lobo, 22, of 9 N. Central Court, Apt. 2, Peabody, on charges of domestic assault and battery, intimidation of a witness, and destruction of property under $250.
Police received an 11:46 a.m. report of a heavy trash bag that was “leaking blood” at 1405 Huntington Drive. An officer determined that the bag contained the remains of a deer.
A 61-year-old man was transported to Union Hospital and then MedFlighted to Brigham and Women’s after police responded to a 3:05 p.m. report of a medical emergency at 274 Lynn St.
An officer inside Walgreens at 29 New Derby St. saw a man shoplifting, according to a 5:27 p.m. report. Michael Vasquez, 44, of 10 Leavitt St., Salem, was arrested.
Police responded to an 8:40 p.m. report that a Whalers Lane woman’s husband was “out of control” and “has a firearm in the house and it’s not where it normally is.” Arrested was George Hindsley, 45, of 164 Whalers Lane, Salem, on charges of assault, possession of a firearm without a license, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of a large-capacity firearm and unlawful storage of a firearm. Sgt. David Tucker said police were originally unable to locate the 9 mm in question, but that Hindsley’s wife called them back later in the evening, telling them she’d found it in a drawer. The gun was seized.
Police responded to a 9:10 p.m. report of a man with a baseball bat causing a disturbance at 14 Wheatland St. and arrested Scott Hooper, 43, of the same address, on a charge of malicious destruction of property over $250.
