The Fire Department extinguished a brush fire off Fort Avenue in the area of Salem Willows Park around 1:30 p.m.

A 2:04 p.m. report of an “odor of burnt drugs” brought police to 1000 Loring Ave., where they were unable to detect anything suspicious.

A woman went to the station at 2:06 p.m. to report that she’d lost a baby bag with 400 oxycodone pills in it at the Roller Palace in Beverly. She was advised to speak with Beverly police about the issue.

Peabody

Wednesday

Police received a 7:53 p.m. report of a “confused” elderly man wearing a long, white coat at 53 Pulaski St., but an officer was unable to locate him.

Thursday

Police conducted a traffic stop at 1:18 a.m. near 474 Lowell St. and arrested Richard Tardiff, 20, of 10 Dahlia Ave., Peabody, on charges of drunken driving, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, being a minor in possession of alcohol, speeding and a marked lanes violation.

At 1:40 a.m., an officer at 420 Lowell St. arrested Kimber Edwards, 22, of 40 Topsfield Road, Ipswich, on charges of drunken driving, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and having no license in possession.

A Lowell Street man reported at 4:31 a.m. that his daughter had snuck out of the house. Police wrote later: “Officer reports the daughter has returned to the father’s custody.”

Thursday

Police received a 3:17 a.m. report that a vehicle had been broken into at the Comfort Inn, 50 Dayton St.
