Chamber honors business community

BEVERLY — Business leaders, city and state officials, and student representatives of Beverly High School’s DECA program were among the more than 250 in attendance for the Beverly Chamber of Commerce’s Beverly Business Awards dinner on Thursday.

The second annual event, held at the Danversport Yacht Club, honored winners in seven award categories.

Winners included Medley Long III of MedleySites, Young Entrepreneur of the Year; My Print and Copy, Small Business of the Year; Beverly Hospital, Large Business of the Year; Beverly Bootstraps, Non-Profit of the Year; Super Subs/Casual Catering, Family Business of the Year; North Shore 104.9 Radio, Corporate Citizen of the Year; and Fran Dichner of R&L Associates, Businessperson of the Year. Bill Howard, Beverly Cooperative Bank’s board chairman, also received the Leslie S. Ray Hall of Fame Award, for his contributions to the chamber and the city.

The chamber will donate a portion of the event’s proceeds to Beverly High’s DECA program.
