A man reported at 7:51 p.m. that his girlfriend had struck him “a few times” during a fight at dinner at a Bessom Street address and that he “wants someone to go with him so he can get a few things out of the apartment.” Subsequently arrested was Robert E. Jenkins, 62, of 30 Bessom St., Apt. C, Marblehead, on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
A child was transported to Salem Hospital with undisclosed injuries after a 3:44 p.m. report that he or she had fallen off a bicycle near 81 Endicott St.
A Fulton Street man reported at 5:35 p.m. that he’d found a “loan on his credit report ... that he did not apply for or receive.” Police wrote: “He spoke to the credit reporting bureau, and they advised him to file a police report.”
Police received a 6:27 p.m. report that an unknown male had entered an apartment at 110 Lowell St., laid down on the floor and claimed he was Jesus. The man was subsequently transported to Salem Hospital. Police wrote that an officer accompanied the man there because he was “combative due to being on some type of drug.”
A Dustin Street resident reported at 9:25 p.m. that his or her phone lines may have been cut, but an officer determined they were “not cut, but worn.”
Police and the Fire Department responded to 71 Tremont St. after a 3:51 p.m. report of a structure fire in a basement. An officer determined that “there were flammable things put inside the dryer. Dryer was removed from the building, and no damage occurred to the building. PFD assisting in ventilating smoke from the building. All in order at this time.”
A Pond View Road man reported at 7:23 a.m. that his garage had been broken into overnight and an air compressor and power washer stolen.
