---- — SALEM — Police say three people were arrested after a woman whose vehicle was stolen from her workplace on Saturday night saw them driving down Highland Avenue in it yesterday afternoon.
Greg Michael Doane, 37, of 131 Ocean St., Lynn, was arrested on charges of receiving stolen property, to wit a motor vehicle; and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license.
Thomas W. Hobbs, 32, homeless, was arrested on charges of receiving stolen property, to wit a motor vehicle; and violating the city’s knife ordinance.
April Ann Pramataris, 33, of 7 Ruthven Terrace, Lynn, was arrested on charges of receiving stolen property, to wit a motor vehicle; violating the city’s knife ordinance; and illegal possession of a class B substance.
The woman reported shortly before 9 p.m. on Saturday night that the vehicle — a silver 2002 Volkswagen Jetta — had been stolen from the employee lot of the 99 Restaurant on Bridge Street at some point between 12:30 p.m. and 8:36 p.m., according to the incident log.
The woman said she had left a key to the vehicle somewhere inside it. Lt. Scott Englehardt said the people who were arrested had apparently been rifling through the car when they came across the key.
A be-on-the-lookout alert was given to police across the region.
The vehicle was additionally described as having a red driver’s side mirror, a dark gray passenger’s side mirror and yellow paint on the driver’s side.
The woman located it herself when she saw it go by on Highland Avenue about 12:30 p.m.
The three were arrested shortly thereafter.
