An employee of the Finishing Touch nail salon on Lynnfield Street reported at 9:04 p.m. that a male with a “plastic bag over his body” had watched the store as she locked up. An officer was unable to locate him.
An 11:38 p.m. report of a “sawing noise” brought police to 27 Proctor St., where they determined it was noise from a sump pump.
An officer notified the DPW that trash barrels at Pierpont Park were overflowing, according to a 12:53 a.m. report.
A North Central Court woman reported at 12:59 a.m. that she heard a noise coming from the back door to her house. “Officer checked the area and wasn’t able to locate anyone in question,” police wrote later.
A Warren Street woman reported at 1:12 a.m. that her ex-boyfriend “came in through the window and assaulted her,” but an officer later determined it was only a “verbal dispute.”
Police received a 2:41 a.m. report that a suspicious person was standing on a porch on Barnstable Road. The person subsequently left the area in a black sedan with no headlights on, according to the log. “Officer checked the surrounding area and was unable to locate party.”
Police conducted a traffic stop on Allens Lane at 7:52 a.m. and subsequently arrested Lee J. Brewer, 45, of 23 County St., Peabody, on charges of operating with a suspended license and having an unregistered motor vehicle. He was also wanted on two warrants, according to the log.
Police received a 9:13 a.m. report that a company was working in the area of Railroad Avenue without a detail officer. Police wrote: “The officer stated that the company, Utility Services, had the street down to one lane. They will be stopping work and they will be hiring an officer.”
Police responded to a 9:25 a.m. report that a Newbury Street woman believed someone had attempted to break into her trailer. An officer subsequently found “malicious damage to the screen,” according to the log.
