A 10:22 p.m. report of a domestic dispute at a Veterans Memorial Drive address resulted in the arrest of Gary Williams, 29, of 211/2 Sagamore St., Lynn, on charges of domestic assault and battery and intimidation of a witness.
A 12:16 p.m. report of a possible house fire brought police and the Fire Department to 6 Kingdom Court, where they determined the fire had been contained to a microwave.
A disabled trash truck was towed from Mill and Margin streets, according to a 4:07 p.m. log item.
An officer responded to a 4:30 p.m. report that a large group was loitering at Essex Street and East India Square and “sent a group of 12-15 teenaged youths on their way without incident.”
A 4:32 p.m. report of an “explosion” with “black smoke” brought police to Loring Avenue and Leggs Hill Road, where they unable to locate anything amiss.
Police received an 8:59 p.m. report of a loud bang like a gunshot in the area of 35 Essex St., but an officer was unable to locate anything suspicious.
A 10:06 p.m. report that two people were “acting suspicious” in a pickup truck brought police to 15 Hawthorne Boulevard, where they determined they were “becoming better acquainted with each other.” Police ran them for warrants and then advised them “to find a more suitable location to continue their time together,” according to the log.
Police responded to a 9:33 a.m. report that there were undesirables behind Victoria Station. “They were advised to leave the area and not come back,” wrote police. “They did so without incident.”
An 11:07 p.m. report that a male and female were possibly painting graffiti brought police to 242 Bridge St. An officer wrote: “They stated that they were going to paint an electrical box for a contest, approved by the planning department. I followed up with the planning department and was informed that the painting is approved.”
