Armed robbery reported in Danvers

DANVERS — An armed robbery was reported at a Dunkin’ Donuts on Route 114 yesterday afternoon.

Police were called to the store at 79 Andover St. at 3:55 p.m. on a report of a robbery where a knife was shown. The man was described as wearing a long-sleeved plaid shirt, a black hat, tan shorts and sunglasses.

He made off with cash in a black Jeep Wrangler heading toward Middleton, according to police scanner reports. A bulletin was put out to other local police departments with a description of the vehicle. A second person was reported as being in the vehicle.

Further details were not available on the incident as of last night.
