A 3:22 p.m. report of a man sleeping on the tracks brought police to the area of 63 Foster St., where they sent the man on his way.

Police received a 4:57 p.m. report that a motorist had backed up into a male pedestrian at Central and Bowditch streets. The motorist claimed “that the male party was not injured, yet did ask for $500 and left the scene,” police wrote.

A 5:54 p.m. report of a restraining order violation at 16 Park St. resulted in the arrest of Melissa Carrasquillo, 26, of 89 Liberty St., Apt. 4, Lynn, on a charge of violating an abuse prevention order. She was also wanted on a warrant.


A 7:15 a.m. report of a disturbance involving a student at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School resulted in the arrest of Prince Charles Thompson, 17, of 183 Lowell St., Apt. 2, Peabody, on a charge of trespassing.



Three bikes were stolen from the backyard at 22 Chapman St., according to a 6:48 p.m. report.


Police conducted a traffic stop at Sohier Road and Lyman Street at 8:24 a.m. and arrested John Kostrubanic, 49, of 194 Lothrop St., Beverly, on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Police received a 9:22 a.m. report that a necklace had been stolen from a residence on Melvin Avenue.



Police received a 12:12 p.m. report that a suspicious man was taking pictures of children and flowers at Hadley Elementary School. “Party followed the man, who has now left, and was able to take a picture of him,” police wrote. The man was described as being about 30 years old and wearing a green T-shirt and blue jeans. Police didn’t report finding him.



A 6:58 p.m. report of a shoplifter at Walmart, 55 Brooksby Village Drive, resulted in the arrest of Michael Silva, 49, of 75 High St., Gloucester, on a charge of shoplifting.
