A Birch Street woman reported at 11:55 a.m. that she had found a long gun — “she described it as looking like a machine gun” — while cleaning up after her tenants left. An officer determined that it was a BB gun and took it to the station.

Police transported a man home after a 4:46 p.m. report that his cane had fallen down a drain on Pickett Street.

A Peach Highlands man reported at 7:24 p.m. that his neighbor’s son had assaulted him after he went to confront him about “poisoning his dog.”


A child was knocked over and bitten by a terrier-type dog on Pleasant Street, according to a 7:31 a.m. log item. “When witness went to help the boy, a blond woman came and picked up the dog,” police wrote. The child did not require medical attention and was handed over to his father.
