Police spoke to a motorist after an 8:07 p.m. report that a suspicious vehicle had been parking on Shillaber Street at odd hours and determined that the man was trying to connect to a Wi-Fi signal.

A Tremont Street caller reported hearing gunshots at 9:02 p.m., but an officer was unable to locate anything suspicious in the area.

Police conducted a traffic stop at First Avenue and Lynnfield Street at 9:45 p.m. and arrested Diane LeBlanc, 49, of 33 Archer St., Lynn, on charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failure to stop or yield. She was also wanted on a warrant, according to the log.


A 1:13 a.m. report of an unwanted woman at 192 Washington St. resulted in the arrest of Lisa Faretra, 43, of 145 Washington St., Apt. 1, Peabody, on a charge of disorderly conduct.

A weed wacker and other tools were stolen from a yard at 20 Webster St., according to a 7:57 a.m. report.

A $6,600 necklace was reported missing from an apartment at 304 Brooksby Village Drive at 10 a.m.

The Fire Department extinguished a fire in a hot tub outside a house at 22 Herold Road, according to a 10:55 a.m. report. A firefighter said a brush fire spread to the freestanding tub and completely destroyed it, but it was unclear what caused the brush fire. The blaze did not extend to any structure.

Two 16-year-olds were arrested after police responded to an 11:39 a.m. report of a disturbance at Veterans Memorial High School. Both were arrested on charges of assault and battery and disturbing a school assembly.



A 3-year-old boy escaped a backyard fence and was found wandering at Lyman and Ames streets, according to a 4:34 p.m. report. He was uninjured, and his mother said that he had only been outside for about five minutes at the time of the incident.
