Woman reports sighting of long-dead DJ

SALEM — Police assisted a Norton Terrace woman on Sunday morning after she reported seeing somebody who’d been dead for a decade.

According to the incident log, an officer responded to the woman’s address at 10:45 a.m. to conduct a well-being check after she reported “seeing people from Oldies & Goodies.”

The woman told police that she had seen her favorite DJ on television while she was watching her favorite music channel — the problem being that the DJ had been dead for more than 10 years.

The woman “could not understand how he could now be on television,” police wrote.

An officer wrote: “She was advised about reruns.”
