Aurelinda Hernandez, 59, 3 Oak St., was arrested around 3:12 p.m. on charges of shoplifting from Walgreens on Main Street. Police were called after the loss prevention unit reported an electric toothbrush missing.

Police were called at 6:24 p.m. to respond to a small sinkhole beginning to form next to Champion’s Pub on Foster Street.

Richard Hofacre, 57, 35 Oak St., was arrested from Main Street around 8:00 p.m. on charges of two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and mayhem.

Saturday

Jeffrey Lambe, 22, of 22 Westover Drive, Lynnfield, was arrested from Washington Street around 1:20 a.m. on charges of drunken driving and erratic driving.

Robert Devarenne, 53, of 56 Washington St., was arrested around 5:30 p.m. on charges of disorderly conduct, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, resisting arrest, and threatening to commit a crime. He was arrested after police were called to respond to a fight at Peabody Market.

Police were called at 8:43 p.m. to respond to a man in a Dumpster. When officers arrived on the scene, the man said he was just looking for scrap metal, but he was done.

Sunday

John Mello, 21, 1 Gable Circle, Salem, was arrested from Central Street around midnight on charges of second-offense drunken driving and for a scooter violation.

Gregory Darr, 21, of 16 Thoreau Circle, Beverly, was arrested around 2:40 a.m. from Newbury Street on charges of second-offense drunken driving, and possession of class B and D drugs with intent to distribute.

Police were called to Sutton Street at 12:19 p.m. to respond to an exchange of threats between a 14-year-old and a 9-year-old.

Saturday

Multiple units were called to the Lucky Dog on Cabot Street around 1 a.m. on a report of a fight. Officers on the scene said it was a minor incident.

Scrambled or sunny side up? Police were called at 4:14 a.m. to Ropes Street to respond to kids “egging houses and kicking cars.” The only youths in the area claimed they were out running in preparation for football.
